President Nechirvan Barzani meets with Turkish Minister of Defense
President Nechirvan Barzani met with Mr. Yaşar Güler, Minister of Defense of Türkiye, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the meeting, they discussed Türkiye’s relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as their joint cooperation in maintaining peace and stability in the region. They also exchanged views on the situation in Iraq and broader regional developments.
Both sides described the peace process in Türkiye as important and historic, emphasizing the need to work toward advancing it. They agreed on the importance of collective efforts and coordination among countries in the region to preserve peace and stability and to steer the region away from further crises and instability.
The meeting also covered several other topics of mutual interest.
