Kurdistan Region President Meets with the Prime Minister of Kuwait
In continuation of his meetings at the Munich Security Conference, President Nechirvan Barzani met with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Their discussions focused on Kuwait’s relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, Iraq’s internal situation, Erbil-Baghdad ties, developments in Syria, and broader regional dynamics. Both leaders reaffirmed the historical ties between Kuwait and Kurdistan, underscoring the need for stronger cooperation across all sectors. They also emphasized the importance of regional stability, conflict prevention, and counterterrorism efforts, particularly in addressing ongoing threats from ISIS.
