Key Absences at the Syrian National Dialogue Conference
The Syrian National Dialogue Conference commenced on Tuesday in Damascus, bringing together various societal elites. However, several key entities were absent from the scene, most notably the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), known by its Arabic acronym QSD, was not invited to the conference, as it is a military organization that had refused to integrate into the newly formed Syrian Ministry of Defense. According to the conference's preparatory committee, invitations were extended to Syrian societal elites, explicitly excluding military formations and political structures in an official capacity.
Additionally, representatives of the Kurdish Autonomous Administration, which governs northeastern Syria, were also absent from the conference.
Moreover, some Syrian figures residing abroad were unable to attend due to time constraints and the conference's rushed organization.
Despite the absence of Kurdish political and military entities, some Kurdish individuals participated in a personal capacity.
