FM welcomes the talks scheduled to be held tomorrow between Iran and United States in Oman

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein welcomed the talks scheduled to be held tomorrow, Saturday, between Iran and the United States in the Sultanate of Oman.
 
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein received on Friday at his residence in the Turkish city of Antalya the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh, head of the Iranian delegation participating in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum."
 
The statement added that "during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen them in various fields were discussed. Fuad Hussein welcomed the talks scheduled to be held tomorrow, Saturday, in the Sultanate of Oman between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, expressing his hope that these negotiations will yield positive results that contribute to achieving stability in the region."
 
It continued, "The two sides also discussed current regional developments, particularly in Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen, with the Minister stressing the importance of strengthening regional dialogue and cooperation to address these issues."
 
 For his part, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister extended an official invitation, on behalf of his country, to Fuad Hussein to attend the Tehran Dialogue Forum, scheduled to be held from May 16 to 19.
